icloud : your personal desktop in the cloud, right now !
Posted by: Fred In: Cloud computing| Web as a platform
Developed by Xcerion, a startup based in Sweden, icloud provides a virtual desktop and operating system for free directly on the Internet. The vision is that in a near future, many webapps will be spreading around the web (as more and more now are) and icloud will be THE place to gather those web-hosted applications, with a “social” layer.
The user environment is more than friendly and even “non-geek” can enjoy the pleasure of accessing their data, anywhere, in a customised personal desktop, as long as they have a computer connected to the Internet.
