$15 Million invested in a PAAS provider

Engine Yard, provider of a Ruby and Rails deployment platform, announced a Serie B financing round of $15 million, implicating New Enterprise Associates, Inc., Benchmark Capital and Amazon.

Animoto, a succesfull startup enabling people to create dynamic slideshows and spread them trough various social-networks, has managed to deal with its growing server instances thanks to Amazon Webservices : S3 and EC2.
